Fence Panels & Drain

Mrs. P contacted me during the process of selling her house after neighbors reported hearing scurrying sounds. I was asked to inspect the drain for any possible signs of entry from vermin and replace the fence panels that were rotting out.

Upon inspecting the drain, it was discovered to be rotten, with a hole covering about a quarter of its perimeter. Evidence of vermin was present, including carcasses. The water board has been contacted to arrange a replacement, and Mrs. P was delighted to learn that this would be done free of charge.

The 6×6 fence panels were trimmed to size, replaced, and the old panels were properly disposed of. After finishing, Mrs. P wasn’t happy with the shingle-style covered post—requested by a family member—as shown in the photo. To ensure her satisfaction, I promptly returned with some 4×1″ timber and installed it, which delighted her. A very happy Mrs. P!
